When I was naked . . ., 61cm x 61cm
Oil on canvas, Private Collection

The painting, depicting a man amidst the destruction in a Syrian city and a woman in the vicinity of the burnt-out Grenfell Tower in West London, is a response to the challenge of Christ's words in the parable of the sheep and the goats (St. Matthew Chapter 25 Verses 31 - 46) that "when I was naked you gave me (or did not give me) clothing."
